What is the significance of spiritual gurus in today’s world, are they just making money or benificial?

The Spiritual Gurus that Im referring to may fall in any category or genre of the society but the point is,they charge money for teaching yoga and some stolen lines from vedas.Do you think its justified for them to do so and for us to let them do so ?

Do we need a revolution?Do we need to stop wasting money on them and rather make our society free of fanaticism?

Kindly, answer the question with a neutral mind.

Free market matches what consumers think they want, – with someone offering a product or service.

But we do have ‘fraud’ laws to handle the real charlatans.

Fascism would replace free-market, – to stop what you think is an ought.

You can not make sweeping generalisation. There are many true seekers who do not claim any ‘guru hood’.It is left to us to be vary of charlatans.

You are right with your observation.
Most of the “gurus” are offering you a nice method of feeling good, charging you money so they can also feel good, but the whole process has nothing to do with spirituality.
Spirituality is the privilege of everyone, free of charge.
It is a process which we have to do ourselves. We need the right method, and even a teacher who can interpret the method for us, but it has to be freely available without any pressure, or trickery.
Yes we need a spiritual revolution, when all of us realise, that we need to find a new level of connection between us, and we need to find humanity’s right place within nature.
