What are your religious or spiritual services like?

If you attend religious or spiritual services regularly, or participate in rituals regularly, etc., what are your services like? If you practice your religion or spiritual path alone, what do you do?

Our praise and worship services are wonderful, and so uplifting, to God’s glory.

Churches have services on Sunday, synagogues have services on Friday night and on Saturday, and mosques have services on Friday (I think). Their doors are open, you should give them a visit.

based on common ground; not a lot of God-talk or any prayer. we simply build community and religious study based on acceptance of all religions and atheism as well. check us out a uua.com

    i practice alone.
    i usually meditate.
    as for my rituals…
well. my samhain ritual went great.
but an energy ritual went terribly wrong.
i knocked over the candle i was using for the ritual, and it went out.
i was incredibly embarrassed, even though nobody saw.

You are all hung up on regularly. Lots of people go to church on holidays or once in a while.
To you, it is either regularly or “path alone.”
    Nobody is alone.

I used to appreciate Liturgy. It’s formula and format. And if the priest had his act together, he could give a good homily. I was a neophyte (newly Catholic). However, as I matured in age, matured in Church (my religious degree, my church profession) I saw less of Christ and more politics (internal and interference). After 15 years of church employment, I discontinued any tithing. I hate hearing the “guilt trips” especially when second collections were taken up for “Clergy Retirement” (2nd or 3rd Sunday of the month) and “Religious Retirement” (opposing Sundays). After 15 years employment, after 15 years investing in my retirement account, I got NOTHING but the royal shaft.

I don’t have nor want anything religious. I do not attend any structure organized religion.

I do have time with my scriptures, I meditate, I pray, and it’s never a regular time, nor place, although I tend to favor the outdoors.

I might consider the UCC as they more diverse and open to not only welcome all (especially Gays and Lesbians) but also ready to celebrate marriages.

As to the Holy Roman Catholic Church… not me, not now, not ever, will I attend or support Roman Catholicism.

I meditate, listen to enigma or sometimes just gregorian chanting (odd I know, but its great music to meditate to, very calming), burn incense, turn out all the electric lights, burn candles. Its very relaxing and calm, and I usually end up in a trance like state, which leaves me very calm, and exhausted afterwards.

    Eclectic Pagan.

It’s like the same episode of Star Trek every Sunday morning.
