How do I view album art while playing songs on my Creative Zen Vison M mp3 player?
How do I view album art while playing songs on my Creative Zen Vision M mp3 player? I’ve tried downloading so many things that don’t seem to work. I dont use windows media player to sync it. I use the actual zen software that was in the disc that came with it. I just can’t seem to access album art while playing songs. Help?
Hello Yok K,
All the album arts are in your ZEN, they are located in the unclassified pics folder, while listening to the tune, you must necessarily click to the right pic.
the player uses the MTP protocol of microsoft (Windows Media Player) to communicate with your computer.
the creative software is not the handiest way to go around album art.
if you go to their website and click support -> knowledge base, then type: Album Art
click the top link, this is the best info Creative has on the subject. helpfull but not extensive.
since album art is often embedded in the (ID3) track info of the song itself, you can easily edit it by using an ID3 editor. lots of easy to use freeware is available. very popular is Media Monkey, which is freeware.
The album art is usually supplied together with the music tracks. They will be displayed normally when all traits of the music information are different. But if the traits are the same then try the steps below. I took this from the creative website itself so that it will better guide you in solving your problem.
To make it possible to display an album art for albums with the same name, create a variation of the Artist name.
You will need to edit the album information while the song resides in your ocmputer and not in your Zen. If they no longer exist in the computer, transfer the songs from the player back to the computer. To edit the Album information, proceed with the steps below:
1. Launch Windows Explorer or double click My Computer
2. Locate the songs which you would like to edit and highlight them. To select multiple tracks, press on the Ctrl key (in your keyboard) and then click the tracks that to you want to edit
3. Right click on the file, choose Properties, and then Summary. Choose the option to view in Advanced mode.
4. Click on the Value field of a property that you want to modify, for example, Artist
5. Click OK when done
6. Add the respective album art to the albums and transfer them back to the player
Note: Songs which are copyright protected, their information or track details will not be allowed for editing
I hope this helped you a lot.
