Zen Buddhism teaches the way of spiritual enlightenment. If you are looking to redecorate your room to conform with Zen principals, you will go for simplicity and serenity. Get rid of the clutter, first. Zen teachings show the futility of accumulation of material possessions, of striving for wealth, fame, position, etc. Thus, Zen style is simple and conducive to meditation and inner exploration. You’ll want bare floors, sunshine, quiet and little else.
A bit later: feng shui is not Zen. It is a traditional Chinese system of balancing chi or energy flow. It has to do with how you place your furniture and yourself within rooms and how buildings are placed in relation to each other and to energy flow. At its best, feng shui helps create a meditative and peaceful environment. At its most superstitious, it keeps demons away from you.

If you’re talking about a bedroom, it depends what goals you have in mind.
For a good night’s sleep, make sure your bed is not on the same wall as the door to your room.
For more focus in your life, you should be able to see your bedroom door from your bed.
Feng shui is pretty difficult. Google it and do some reading.
