For my essay, I have to identify a spiritual reassessment or moral reconciliation in the book I am reading, the House of Seven Gables. But I can’t do that if I’m not sure what they mean. Any help would be appreciated!

For example, if you were born into ancient Egypt, you would follow the ancient Egyptian religion, and those born today in say Texas, would follow Christianity, as those in Iran would be Muslim.

I can’t help but notice that no matter who is running for what election, religion is always an issue. Why is it that a candidate’s religion always comes under fire by the press, specifically in presidential races?

If you attend religious or spiritual services regularly, or participate in rituals regularly, etc., what are your services like? If you practice your religion or spiritual path alone, what do you do?

Is there any temple or spiritual learning center (Buddhist, Shamanic, anything) that will allow you to stay there and perhaps do work around the temple while you learn? One without a monetary tuition I mean. In Washington State, Oregon, maybe California?
